Introducing T3Media
Thought Equity Motion, Inc. today announced that the company has changed its name to T3Media, Inc., effective immediately. “T3Media reflects the evolution of our company as we grow both our Licensing and Platform businesses to serve the needs of leading digital content producers as well as sports, news, and entertainment library owners worldwide,” said T3Media’s CEO, Kevin Schaff, who founded the company in 2003.

Football League Footage Now Available
The Football League and BBC Sport have agreed a deal to create a joint archive and have appointed BBC Motion Gallery, BBC Worldwide’s clip licensing business, to digitise the content and license the rights. The deal, which runs until 2016, is the first of its kind in the UK where a sporting organisation and broadcaster have created a joint archive.

Expanded NCAA Licensing Agreement
Thought Equity Motion, Inc. announced today that it has extended its exclusive licensing contract with the NCAA. In addition to licensing NCAA Championship video, Thought Equity Motion now has the rights to license photographs and radio calls from the NCAA’s 89 Championships across 23 sports and all three division levels.

Investcorp, New Private Equity Funding
Investcorp Technology Partners, the technology private equity arm of alternative investment manager Investcorp, announced today that its Technology Partners III Fund has acquired a significant minority stake in Thought Equity Motion, the leading provider of cloud-based video management and footage licensing services, based in Denver, Colorado. Investcorp Technology Partners invested a total of $28 million, making it the largest single shareholder in the company today.

Mountain West Conference Deal
Thought Equity Motion announced today that the Mountain West Conference has signed a multi-year, exclusive licensing deal with the company. Under the new agreement, Thought Equity Motion is enabling digital access to the Conference’s entire video library—covering memorable moments in college basketball, football, volleyball, soccer and many other sports—and adding the content to its T3 Platform.

ACC Utilizes T3 Library Manager
